Studio in the hills.

Barring disaster, this is where I'll be making work this fall, at my studio in the hills on the left coast. I'm looking forward to gazing at stars, looking up into the tall trees, and thinking about physics (with some help from my collaborators, of course!)

  1. Looks awesome from here Julia. Before long, you will have that bicoastal-thing working in your favor. Do you feel any differently now?

  2. Thanks, Albertus! You know, I am feeling much calmer about the idea of floating from coast to coast now. And feeling pretty excited about having these two very different places to work.

  3. Maybe your left coast self can be a critic for your right coast self and vice versa. You could even start arguments with yourself over your art.

  4. That could be interesting, as long as one of the selves doesn't get really, really into, say, black velvet paintings. Not that there's anything wrong with that...!
