Sammy in Winter.

Here's another funny little find, from the movin'-out-of-the-apartment clean-up. A memory from Chicago, during winter of 2005, when I first met Sammy the 1969 Datsun Roadster:

  1. This is the sweetest thing I've ever seen. Was this the car that got squashed by a woman whose excuse for running it over was that it was too small?

  2. Hahaha, no, thankfully Sammy is still alive and well and is preparing for a journey to Oregon as we speak! (He's bringing his hard top since it rains so much there!) The car that got squashed was also a Datsun, but it was a Z.

  3. Now I thought Sammi was the name of your mouse back at the cabin? I once had a car I was fond of...1981 Honda Civic station wagon that finally gave up the ghost after 350,000 miles! The speedometer only went up to 80 mph!!

  4. 350,000 miles! Good old Civic--what a trooper; and how cute about the 80 mph speedometer. Ah, my mouse was Sami, you see. It's true that many animals and objects I'm associated with end up with a variation on that name. :)
