Portable Caves opening, Saturday Feb 13.

Study for Thaw, 2009 by Julia Oldham

I'd love to see you tomorrow night at the opening of Portable Caves in Long Island City, the newest show curated by HKJB. I will be showing four grub-centric bug drawings (including Study for Thaw, above), and a large roster of artists will be showing their works on paper as well. It should be a really cool show, and the HKJB folks throw a great party.

When: Opening reception is February 13, 6-9 PM; show open by appointment until February 26.

Where: 5-22 46th Avenue, buzzer 5, Long Island City, NY.

Works by: Amy Feldman, Anna Kunz, Alexander Kroll, Alexa Hoyer, Benjamin King, Brian Loftus, Craig Olson, Daniel Abrams, Davide Balliano, Doug Melini, Drew Beattie, Ernesto Burgos, Guillermo Creus, Giles Thomson, Halsey Hathaway, Hannes Priesch, Ilse Murdock, Janna Luttrell, Jay Henderson, Jim Mattei, Joshua Abelow, Judith Braun, Justin Adian, Julia Oldham, Kris Chatterson, Mamie Tinkler, Max Razdow, Michael Dopp, Michelle Hailey, Mirelle Borra, Paul Gillis, Rachel Lieber, Ricardo Gonzalez, Ryan Cobourn, Tamara Zahaykevich, Tisch Abelow, Tom Szabo, Vince Contarino, Wayne Adams, and Yadir Quintana and Everest Hall (who have generously provided the space in which this show is taking place)

  1. I usually find something of interest in your blog...and I love your drawings too! Good luck with the exhibition.

  2. Thanks!! This was the first time I'd ever shown the drawings, so I'm excited that they're out in the world now.
