Endangered Species Print Project.

Today I learned about the Endangered Species Print Project, a drawing series by Jenny Kendler and Molly Shafer. Each drawing represents an endangered creature, and there are only as many prints of the drawing as there are remaining individuals of the species. All of the money made from the sale of these prints is donated to conservation organizations. One of my favorite prints is their Panamanian Golden Frog (posted on bioephemera earlier today):


They also have a great blog, the Endangered Species Print Project Blog, which features frequent "Endangered Strangers" posts about unusual endangered creatures like the Purple Frog. Right before Christmas they posted the video below about the threatened Regal Horned Lizard, who squirts blood from his eye in self-defense:
