Céleste Boursier-Mougenot

The above piece is by French artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot, and is part of the new commission at The Curve at Barbican, London (Feb 27 - May 23, 2010). This video connects nature and technology and sound so perfectly, so weirdly. And those zebra finches are adorable. I love it.

  1. I enjoyed this post...particularly the bird that was attempting to build a nest in the guitar. I used to raise zebra finches, their calls sound like little cash registers. Their eggs are tiny and about the size of jelly beans.

  2. Oh, that's so interesting about the zebra finches! I love the idea of cash register calls and jelly bean eggs--fantastic. I've never been a caretaker for a bird before.
