The prettiest insect in England.

While trekking through fields full of woolly sheep, towering horse beans, poppies and other wonders in the Cotswolds, my family and I came across some fascinating invertebrates. Few held our attention as long as the dazzling Six-spot Burnet, a diurnal moth that has a taste for the nectar of beautiful flowers. None of us had ever seen these little beasties before, and so we all have an excess of shots of these pretty moths on our memory cards.

  1. wow. now that would brighten your day.

  2. just to comment again... i've never seen anything like it. what beautiful splashes of red.
